LABOR DAY SAFARI & CAMP-OUT
September 4-6, 2010
It’s time for the all new Labor Day Safari & Camp-out! Join us for this family focused event that includes not only wheeling together, but also camping together and sharing some good old fashioned family fun. This year, our event will encompass camping, staging, entertainment and more, all centered around our campground and new event tent. These are exciting changes to our event and we look forward to including you! Come rub shoulders with other jeepers, make new friends, tell stories and enjoy some great family fun.
Labor Day Safari & Camp-out trails are limited to 25 vehicles per trail per day. The trail schedule has been planned with everyone in mind. Each day has a scenic, medium and difficult (but not necessarily vehicle damaging) trails. There will also be an opportunity to arrange additional trails, if there is interest. And don't forget we are still offering two overnight camping trips!
Why not join us for the last hurrah of the summer!! Labor Day is coming up fast and we’ve planned a great weekend getaway for you and your family! This years’ event offers something different with a “Stay together – Play together" theme. We’ve reserved a campsite just for you so get your registration in and join us for all the fun.  Early trail reservations, (mail only) will offer you the best chance to acquire your requested trail. Spaces will be filled on a first-postmarked-first-serve priority system. You may reserve spaces on the trips by use of the registration form provided. (FORM AVAILABLE HERE) Final registration will be held on the morning that the trails leave. The total fee will be $150 per vehicle. This fee includes a campsite available from Friday through Monday, your registered trails, one dinner, one breakfast, your annual Labor Day dash plaque, as well as numerous other perks.
Registration will take place at the Kane Springs Campground, located down Kane Springs road about 3 miles, Registration will start at 7:30am on Saturday. We'll provide a full pancake breakfast at that time and a dinner will provided for all particapants on Sunday evening.
**Please note that all trails, including overnight camping trips, will be meeting at and leaving from Kane Springs Campground.

SAT 9/4 - MON 9/6
Hole in the Rock (6) - 3 days, 2 nights Approximates the historic "Mormon Trail" route southeast of the Colorado River.
**Alternative meeting place: Calvin Black Airport, near Hall's Crossing about 11:00 am
SAT 9/4 - SUN 9/5
Dolores Triangle (4) - 2 days, 1 night - The area bounded by the Colorado River, the Dolores River and the Colorado/Utah state line. Camping is on Steamboat Mesa.
**Camping available on Sunday evening at Kane Springs Campground which allows another trail choice for Monday.
